Concert Season

 

FOR 2018-19, THE CHORUS WILL MOUNT A 3-CONCERT 75th ANNIVERSARY SEASON THAT INCLUDES EXCITING PERFORMANCES UNDER THE BATON OF MUSIC DIRECTOR MICHAEL CONNOR.

INDIVIDUAL CONCERT TICKETS - 2018-19 SEASON

Concert tickets are good for one performance, and seating is first-come, first-served.  Tickets purchased online will be shipped to the buyer, except for those ordered within one week of the concert.  Those tickets will be held "Will Call" and can be picked up at our ticket booth in the lobby of the venue by presenting emailed proof of purchase.

Note:  General admission tickets ordered online cost $10, and student and senior tickets are $8, pre-sale.  Children 12 and under are free for all performances.  Tickets for the February 12th performance with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra must be purchased directly from the Symphony, and Chorus patron tickets will not be honored.

"Journeys Within and Beyond"

This concert will feature music about journeys, including "Homeward Bound", "Song for the Mira", "An Old Irish blessing", "My Flight for Heaven", and "Where the Earth meets the Sky", among others.

"Te Deum"

The Chorus will present Anton Bruckner's work in conjunction with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra.

Other orchestral favorites in the Symphony's "The Great B's" program this evening include Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings", Alexander Borodin's "Polovetsian Dances", and Ludwig Van Beethoven's "Fidelio Overture".

"American Choral Classics"          

As the Chorus gears up for its performance tour to Ireland, we will revisit many American choral classics featuring works by Eric Whitacre, Charles Ives, Randall Thompson, William Billings, and original compositions by our own Michael Connor and Christian Humpcke.   This milestone concert will complete the Chorus' 75th year, and we hope you will be traversing the finish line with us!
